RADISHES

Their bright red hue surely adds aesthetic to a salad, but radishes’ color is responsible for more than just decorative flair. Radishes get their red hue due to anthocyanins, a phytochemical that has been shown to burn fat and reduce the risk of diabetes. PEAS

Peas, according to MayoClinic.com, are full of dietary fiber along with the vitamins and proteins needed for a healthy diet and helps in lose weight. Green peas contain about 67 calories per cooked cup, and have 11.3 grams of carbohydrates, 5.2 grams of protein and less than 0.5 grams of fat. Peas are an ideal food to promote weight loss, either as a filler for higher calorie foods or as a stand-alone source of fiber and vitamins.

 

SHRIMP

EGGS

There’s nothing like a protein-packed egg to get your body and your diet energized. “A study published in the International Journal of Obesity examined the effects of an egg breakfast compared to a bagel breakfast containing similar calories in obese participants who want to lose weight,” explains Amidor. “Those who consumed two eggs in their breakfast while following a lower calorie diet lost 65 percent more weight and reduced their waist circumference by 34 percent compared to those who were on a similar calorie bagel breakfast.”
