Najib Tarakai, Afghanistan’s opening batsman, died in a road accident



Najib Tarakai, Afghanistan’s star opening batsman, died in a road accident. The 29-year-old was seriously injured in an accident on October 2 (Friday). From then on he went into a coma. Najib received a deep head injury.

Najib was crossing the road from a shop in East Nangarhar on the day of the accident. Just then a car hit him. He was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The opener has played one ODI and 12 T20 matches for Afghanistan. He has a great performance in first-class cricket. He scored 2030 runs in 24 matches. Of these, six centuries and 10 half-centuries. The average is over 47.

The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has expressed its grief over Najib’s death in a road accident and wrote on social media that the ACB and cricket-loving country have lost Afghanistan’s attacking opening batsman Najib Tarakai. He was also a very good man. He was killed in a tragic road accident.
