Soumitra Chatterjee, the proverbial actor of Bengali cinema, had been ill for few days. When he was tested for COVID, the report came as positive. He was later admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata.
Coronavirus has attacked Tollywood before also. Actress Koel Mallick’s family, film director Raj Chakraborty and many others have been affected by Covid. However, each of them has recovered by overcoming COVID.
