Destructive fire on Ganesh chandra Avenue, 2 dead.
The fire was brought under control at midnight by the efforts of 12 engines of the fire brigade.
A devastating fire broke out on Ganeshchandra Avenue. 2 people died. The fire broke out at 10:15 last night on the ground floor of the multi-storey house at 21 Ganeshchandra Avenue. Then it spread quickly to the top of the eight-story multi-storey.
According to local sources, a teenager who tried to escape jumped from the top of building. He was admitted to SSKM Hospital in critical condition and later died.
Sources also said that another old woman died after getting stuck in the toilet.
It is reported that there are 50 to 60 families in that multi-storey building. The fire minister went to the spot. Fire ladder was brought for rescue. The fire was brought under control at midnight by the efforts of 12 engines of the fire brigade.
