Visitors will not be allowed in any Puja mandaps, all no-entry zones, historic directions from Calcutta High Court



The Calcutta High Court has given a historic verdict in the Durga Pujo permission case.
  • Durga Puja 2020, Calcutta High Court Order: Pujo mandapa will be without visitors.
  • Awareness program will be raised.
  • 15-25 enlisted volunteers can only enter.

The instructions say. ‘Pujo mandapa will be without visitors.’ Each pujo mandapa will be considered as no entry zone. In case of small mandapa the distance will be 5 meters. In case of big mandapa, the distance will be 10 meters. No one will be able to enter this distance.

. After Lakshmipujo, DGP will inform, DGP will inform with CP-affidavit, Police Commissioner will have to submit the affidavit by November 5. The High Court has said, “There is goodwill in the police guideline, it is not seen in reality.” The High Court said, “Pujo area should be barricaded” – “No entry board should be put up” – “This directive applies to all pujas in the state”

Everyone should have a no-entry buffer zone in the big pandal. No more than 15-25 people can stay in the pavilion. Where there is a crisis in human life, how can there be a festival?”
